Rescue Diver

Be the Buddy Everyone Wants to Have

Often described as the most challenging yet most rewarding course a diver can take, the Rescue Diver program teaches you to look beyond yourself and consider the safety and well-being of others.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Self-Rescue: Managing your own stress and equipment in the water.

  • Recognizing Stress in Others: Spotting potential problems before they become emergencies.

  • Emergency Management: Coordinating a rescue and managing a scene.

  • Rescue Techniques: Rescuing panicked or unresponsive divers at the surface and underwater.

The Experience: Using the unique environment of our hostel and the surrounding waters, we create realistic, hands-on scenarios. You’ll build immense confidence in your abilities while having a lot of “serious fun” with our instructional team.

Quick Details:

  • Duration: 2 to 3 days.

  • Prerequisites: Advanced Open Water and EFR (or equivalent) certification within the last 24 months.

Emergency First Response (EFR)

Skills for Life, On Land and at Sea

The EFR course provides the tools you need to handle medical emergencies. While it is a prerequisite for the Rescue Diver course, it is an essential skill set for anyone—diver or non-diver.

What the Course Covers:

  • Primary Care (CPR): Learn how to assess and respond to life-threatening emergencies.

  • Secondary Care (First Aid): Learn to treat injuries or illnesses that are not immediately life-threatening.

  • AED Training: Hands-on practice with an Automated External Defibrillator.

Quick Details:

  • Duration: 1 day.

  • Prerequisites: None.
