Tun Sakaran Marine Park (TSMP) consists of a cluster of islands comprising Pulau Gaya, Pulau Bohey Dulang, Pulau Tatagan, Pulau Sibuan and Pulau Maiga. These islands of the Marine Park are characterized by shallow waters, sumptuous coral gardens and all boast splendid white sandy beaches. Bohey Dulang is the most popular island for hiking and climbing activities. On the summit of the island (600 meters/ 2000ft), you can see a beautiful view of the surrounding islands where in ancient times was a volcanic crater. Photography experts will be captivated by the beauty of the islands formation with blue-green waters of the sea that surrounds it. Tun Sakaran Marine Park, also known as ‘The Sleeping Buddha’ also provides the experience of visiting the breeding of giant clam sanctuaries (managed by Sabah Parks Authority) as well as snorkeling and diving. The Park is only 20 minutes away from Semporna (by boat) and while we preparing you the transfer boat, you can prepare your hiking boots and camera!
